I began candle making in 2016 as a hobby for friends and family. I work for a wax refinery , so this seemed like the natural side business. During Covid, my wife and I ramped this up and went legal as an LLC. We tested waxes, fragrances, wicks and jars for many many months, to perfect a candle worthy to be sold under our brand.

We use only the finest materials in our candles, including Midwest Soy wax, sustainably sourced Beeswax and Sunflower Wax, unique and exotic fragrance oils, and cotton wicks. Our jars are beautiful 13.5 oz. handblown glass tumblers with bamboo lids. Many of the labels are photos that I've taken during trips to Iowa, Nebraska, Upstate N

Each candle is hand-poured in our home workshop, in very small batches of 4-12 candles, to ensure the highest quality.
Painstaking time went into the choice of wax, fragrance oils combinations, wicks and jars to create your perfect candle. Spreadsheets, notes and candles burning in every room as we evaluated burn and scent throw.

When your candle is done, the label and wick can be removed, put the jar in the dishwasher, and you'll have a retail quality bar glass. We also re-purpose the bamboo lids as coasters.

Candle Burning Tips for best results
Trim mushroom off wick
It's very important to trim the mushroom off top of wick before lighting. Otherwise your flame will be too big, it will produce soot, burn smoky, and consume wax faster.
Keep burning time between 1 & 4 hours
Soy candles have memory. If you burn too short a time, they will not develop a complete pool of melted wax across the jar. You need this wax pool to throw the fragrance scent. Try not to burn longer than 3 or 4 hours for best candle performance and less smoke.
Soy Wax candles vs Paraffin Candles
Soy wax is a fantastic clean burning natural wax for candles. Soy Wax is also vegan. Paraffin is a petrochemical wax that can burn smokey . You decide.
Follow smart candle burning practices
Use common sense when burning candles. The leading cause of house fires is careless candle burning and it can always be avoided. Don't burn candles unattended. Don't allow children to handle burning candles. The jars will get very hot to touch. Burn on non-flammable surfaces away from curtains.
